Who we are

We are pleased that you are interested in our website. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we provide you with detailed information about how we handle your data.

1. Access data and hosting
You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Every time you access a website, the web server automatically saves a so-called server log file, which contains, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the access.

This access data is evaluated solely for the purpose of ensuring trouble-free operation of the site and improving our offering. In accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter f of GDPR, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in a correct presentation of our offering, which prevail within the framework of a balancing of interests. All access data is deleted no later than seven days after the end of your visit to the site.

Hosting services by a third party
As part of processing on our behalf, a third party provides us with the services for hosting and displaying the website. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in a correct presentation of our offer, which predominate in the context of a balancing of interests. All data collected as part of the use of this website or in the forms provided for this purpose in the online shop as described below are processed on their servers. Processing on other servers only takes place within the framework explained here.

This service provider is based in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can  be viewed here  . Based on this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined an appropriate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

2. Data collection and use for contract processing and when opening a customer account
We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail) or when opening a customer account. Mandatory fields are marked as such because in these cases we absolutely need the data to process the contract or to process your contact or opening of the customer account and you cannot complete the order and/or open the account or send the contact without providing this data. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to us in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter b of GDPR to process the contract and process your inquiries.

After the contract has been fully processed or your customer account has been deleted, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the tax and commercial retention periods have expired, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data in any other way that is permitted by law and about which we will inform you in this declaration. Your customer account can be deleted at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.

3. Data transfer
In order to fulfil the contract in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter b of GDPR, we pass on your data to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the ordering process, we pass on the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, to payment service providers commissioned by us or to the selected payment service in order to process payments. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you create an account with them. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider with your access data during the ordering process. In this respect, the data protection declaration of the respective payment service provider applies.

4. E-mail newsletter and postal advertising
E-mail advertising with newsletter registration
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data required for this purpose or separately provided by you to regularly send you our e-mail newsletter based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter a of GDPR.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we will delete your email address unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data in any other way that is permitted by law and about which we will inform you in this declaration.

The newsletter will be sent as part of processing on our behalf by a service provider to whom we pass on your email address for this purpose.

This service provider is based in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed here . Based on this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined an appropriate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

Postal advertising and your right to object
We also reserve the right to use your first and last name as well as your postal address for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information about our products by post. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in advertising to our customers, which prevail within the framework of a balancing of interests, in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter f of GDPR.

The advertising mailings are carried out as part of processing on our behalf by a service provider to whom we pass on your data for this purpose.
You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.

5. Cookies and web analysis

In order to make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, to display suitable products or for market research, we use so-called cookies on various pages. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in an optimized presentation of our offer in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter f of GDPR, which prevail within the framework of a balancing of interests. Cookies are small text files that are automatically saved on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit (persistent cookies).

You can find out the storage period from the overview in the cookie settings of your web browser. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually whether to accept them or to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. Each browser differs in the way it manages cookie settings. This is described in the help menu of each browser, which explains how you can change your cookie settings. Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for web analysis
If you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter a of GDPR, this website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC (www.google.de), for the purpose of website analysis. Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods such as cookies that enable analysis of your use of the website. The automatically collected information about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymization on this website, the IP address is shortened before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is generally not merged with other Google data. Once the purpose no longer applies and we no longer use Google Analytics, the data collected in this context will be deleted.

Google LLC is headquartered in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed here  . Based on this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined an adequate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:  http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de . This will prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google.

As an alternative to the browser plug-in, you can  click this  link: [ga_optout]  to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future. An opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will be asked to give your consent again.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking
This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
As part of Google AdWords, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that the Internet browser stores on the user’s computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie in your Internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
“Conversion cookies” are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f of GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.
More information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s privacy policy:  https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/ .
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Embedded YouTube videos
YouTube uses so-called “cookies” to collect information. Cookies can be used to store data about the computer or the user who is viewing a video. YouTube uses cookies to collect reliable video statistics, prevent fraud and improve the user experience, among other things.

Advertising via marketing networks
Google AdWords Remarketing
In addition, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address and – if we have received this additional information from you as part of the contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, year of birth and your professional, industry or business name in summarized lists and to use them for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information about our products by post.

You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.

Facebook Pixel
We use the “Facebook Pixel” of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, on our website. So-called tracking pixels are integrated into our pages. When you visit our pages, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the tracking pixel.

Facebook therefore receives information from your browser, among other things, that our site has been accessed from your device. If you are a Facebook user, Facebook can associate your visit to our site with your user account. We would like to point out that as the provider of the site, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or how it is used by Facebook. We can only select which segments of Facebook users (such as age, interests) our advertising should be displayed to.

By calling up the pixel from your browser, Facebook can also recognize whether a Facebook ad was successful, for example whether it led to an online purchase. This allows us to record the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes.

Please click here if you do not want data to be collected via Facebook Pixel:  https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads#_=_ . Alternatively, you can deactivate the Facebook Pixel on the Digital Advertising Alliance website using the following link:  http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ .

The transfer of data to the USA is permitted under Art. 45 GDPR, as Facebook Privacy Shield is certified and therefore an adequate level of data protection exists according to Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1250 (http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/DE/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:32016D1250&from=DE). The certification can  be viewed at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active .

The legal basis is a legitimate interest according to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 f GDPR, namely the pursuit of our business purposes, namely the targeted advertising of our services.

Sending review reminders by email
If you have given us your express consent to do so during or after your order in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter a of GDPR, we will use your email address to remind you to submit a review of your order using the review system we use.
This consent can be revoked at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.

6. Social Media
The social media logos on our website simply link to our company pages on the respective platforms.

7. Use of cloudfare
To secure this website and optimize loading times, cloudfare, San Francisco, California, USA, is used as a CDN (“Content Delivery Network”). Therefore, all requests are necessarily routed through their servers and consolidated into statistics that cannot be deactivated. For more information on the data collected and on security and data protection at cloudfare, please contact  privacyquestions@cloudflare.com.
